Putti
Putto is the term used for a small child figure, originating from antique sarcophagi. Putti figures, with the aid of different attributes, have typified various human characteristics. The six putti in Gl Holtegaard’s baroque garden are copies of Hännel’s putti made for the square in front of the castle at Ledreborg. They each represent two virtues and four vices. |
